Document processing
The redaction application is designed to process selected images and PDFs inside the visitor’s browser. The application code does not intentionally upload document contents to the website operator.
Third-party libraries
The default installation loads PDF.js and PDF-Lib from public content delivery networks. Those providers may receive ordinary connection information such as IP address, browser information, referrer information, and request time. For maximum privacy, download and host these libraries on your own server.
Analytics
The included Google Analytics code is a disabled placeholder. If the website operator enables analytics, the privacy policy must be updated and any legally required consent mechanism must be added.
Browser storage
The tool stores only the theme preference in local storage. The selected document is held in browser memory during the active session. Close the tab when finished, especially on a shared device.
Important limitation
Visitors are responsible for verifying that all sensitive information is fully covered and that the exported copy is suitable for release. The tool does not automatically detect names, addresses, faces, signatures, metadata, or confidential information.
